FLYMORE Privacy Policy
Effective October 4, 2026
The short version
- We collect what FLYMORE needs to work: your account details and the flights, squawks, photos and maintenance records your organization logs.
- The other members of your organization can see what you log there. That is the point of a shared logbook.
- We don't sell your information, show ads, or use third-party analytics or tracking.
- Apple handles payments. We never see your card details.
- You can delete your account in the app at any time, or ask us for a copy of your information.
This policy explains how Compass Point Labs, LLC ("Compass Point Labs", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use the FLYMORE app for iPhone and iPad and the services behind it (together, "FLYMORE"). Compass Point Labs is based in Nyack, New York, and is responsible for your information.

1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address and password. You may also add a phone number and a profile photo. We store your password only as a one-way hash, never in readable form.
- Organization details: the name of your partnership or club, its members and their roles, and its settings (for example, whether it records tach time, Hobbs time or both).
- Aircraft details: registration, make and model, an optional photo, meter readings, and oil change settings.
- Flight records: the date, the pilot, tach and Hobbs readings, flight type, fuel remaining, whether oil was added, notes, which pilots a flight is billed to, and any photos you attach.
- Squawks and maintenance: problem reports, their severity, comments, photos and resolution, and oil change records.
- Messages to support: anything you send us by email. If you use Contact support in the app, the email includes your app version, device platform and organization name, which you can see and remove before sending.
Information collected automatically
- Push notification token: if you allow notifications, a token that lets us send notifications to your device, your device's name, and your time zone (so dates in notifications are shown in your local time).
- Server and security logs: when the app talks to our servers, we record the request, the time, your IP address and the app's user agent. We also keep a record of significant account actions, such as sign-ins and changes to members, for security and troubleshooting.
- Sign-in activity: the time you last signed in.
Information from Apple
When someone in your organization subscribes, Apple processes the payment. Apple sends us the details of the subscription, such as the plan, a transaction identifier, the renewal date and whether it will renew, so we can turn the plan on for your organization. We do not receive your name, payment card or billing address from Apple.
What we don't collect
FLYMORE does not collect your location, contacts, browsing history or advertising identifier. It contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking software, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
2. How we use your information
- To provide FLYMORE: create and secure your account, keep your organization's shared log, calculate billing and oil reports, and sync your data across devices.
- To send you messages about FLYMORE: push notifications about activity in your organization (such as new squawks), which you can turn off in Settings, and emails such as invitations and password resets.
- To manage subscriptions: confirm which plan your organization has and which aircraft it covers.
- To answer your support requests.
- To keep FLYMORE secure and working: prevent abuse, investigate problems and fix bugs.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your information, share it for advertising, or use it to build advertising profiles. We do not use your flight logs or photos to train machine learning models.
3. Who can see your information
Members of your organization
FLYMORE is a shared logbook. When you join an organization, its other members can see your name, email address and role, and the flights, squawks, comments, photos and oil changes you record there. Organization administrators can also invite and remove members and change members' roles. If you belong to more than one organization, each one sees only what you record in it.
Reports you send
When you email a billing report or other export from the app, it is sent from your device's mail app to the people you choose. Once sent, the report is in the hands of its recipients and their email providers.
Service providers
We use a small number of companies to run FLYMORE. They process information only on our instructions and only to provide their service:
- Apple: App Store purchases and subscriptions, and the Apple Push Notification service.
- Expo (650 Industries, Inc.): relays push notifications to Apple's notification service.
- Resend: delivers emails such as invitations and password resets.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers: the servers, databases and storage that hold FLYMORE data.
Legal reasons and business changes
We may disclose information if we believe the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or Compass Point Labs. If Compass Point Labs or FLYMORE is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that deal, and this policy will continue to apply to it.
4. Permissions and your device
- Camera and photos: used only when you choose to take or attach a photo to a flight, squawk or comment. FLYMORE uploads only the photos you pick.
- Notifications: optional. You can turn them off in iOS Settings or choose which ones you get in FLYMORE's Settings.
- Face ID: optional. Face ID is handled entirely by iOS; FLYMORE and Compass Point Labs never receive your face data. When you turn on Face ID sign-in, your sign-in details are stored in your device's keychain and unlocked only by a successful Face ID check.
- Stored on your device: the app keeps your sign-in session in the device keychain and a few preferences, such as your appearance setting and selected organization, on your device. Signing out removes your session.
5. How long we keep information
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Server request logs are kept for about 14 days. Security records of account actions are kept as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
When you delete your account, we erase your name, email address, phone number, profile photo and sign-in immediately, end your organization memberships, and sign you out on every device. Because the flights, squawks and maintenance records you logged are also part of your organization's aircraft history, and other members rely on them for billing and maintenance, those records stay with the organization, shown as "Former member". If you are the only member of an organization, the organization and all of its records are deleted with your account. Copies may remain in backups for a limited time until they are overwritten.
If an organization's subscription ends, we keep its data so it can be viewed and reactivated. An organization's administrator can ask us to delete the organization and all of its records.
6. Your choices and rights
You can view and update your profile in the app at any time, and delete your account in the app under Settings › Privacy & security › Delete account. You can also ask us to:
- give you a copy of your personal information;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your account and personal information; or
- stop sending you push notifications or emails that aren't required to run your account.
To make a request, email info@compasspointlabs.com from the email address on your account, so we can confirm it's you. We'll respond within 30 days. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription; you can cancel that in your Apple ID settings.
Depending on where you live, including California and the European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under local law, such as the right to object to or restrict certain processing, or to complain to your local data protection authority. We honor those rights, and we will not treat you differently for using them. Where the law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on performing our contract with you (providing FLYMORE), our legitimate interests (keeping FLYMORE secure and improving it) and legal obligations.
7. Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls that limit each organization's data to its members, and limited staff access. No service can guarantee perfect security. If we learn of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
8. Children
FLYMORE is intended for pilots, aircraft owners and flying club members, and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Where information is stored
Compass Point Labs is based in the United States, and FLYMORE information is stored and processed in the United States. If you use FLYMORE from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as FLYMORE changes. We'll post the new version on this page and change the effective date above. If a change significantly affects how we use your information, we'll also tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
